What is the best way, to look for admin/Reception work within the LGBT/Alternative community - London, UK?
I am a Receptionist/Administrator but want to start back to work, working within a sector that interests me.
My partner is MTF transgender so am passionate about these issues. Most high street recruitment agencies just offer the usual office work. I'd like to take my skills to other places now.
Any tips??
Can't think of where to start other than emailing Coffee, Cake and Kink, but I know they have now filled their vacancies anyway.

@Renegade, I told you they didn't want me. I am too freaky for modern society but not freaky enough to be part of the circus. They thought I was boring! Huh! well, I don't get out much I suppose, I like a nice evening in with friends and only the occasional mad binge weekend getting lairy! So..yeah..too boring for the circus I am afraid. What other ideas!?
Why not start contacting as many LGBT Voluntary Sector organisations and Charities as you can, find and sign up to their newsletters and mailing lists. Most send out regular newsletters and emails about current vacancies (paid and unpaid).
As not all of them are in the phone book, one good place to start would be an organisation called the "LGBT Consortium". They are a national network of all the LGBT charities and community groups in the country - anything from helplines, youth groups, sports groups, pride festivals, HIV/AIDS support, womens services etc.
They have a directory and contact details on their website.
Lots of locals run regular jobs fairs aimed at LGBT people - Manchester, Brighton, Newcastle and several London Boroughs have run LGBT Jobs Fairs for several years now (often around the same time as gay pride)
