coffee business for sale Frequently Asked Questions
Does anybody know about business WiFi?
I'm thinking about putting it in my coffee shop, but don't know much about it. Does it increase your sales because more people come in? Should I offer free or make them pay? Would you pay 5.00-10.00 a month? Or 1.00 per visit? Or I was thinking free if you buy over 10.00 that day? Please help! Whats the best equipment to use? How much will it cost? Will it pay for itself? I really don't want to have people access it in the morning because they sit too long, can I do this?
Thanks for all your help!!

cheapest coffee wholesaler in pennsylvania?
I live in Pennsylvania, United States. I am opening a trailer cart for festivals and fairs to sale frozen and iced coffee. Where is the cheapest wholesale where I should buy my coffee products? Any other tips or advice for this business would be greatly appreciated.
The only people who can be as general about coffee as you are in this question, is people who don't drink coffee.
To make good coffee, you need to be knowledgeable about it. I would suggest that you poke around online and become familiar with coffee in general, and more importantly start looking for the best coffee that is served in your area so you understand what your product is all about.
Ice coffee is great. It was once more popular than ice tea in many regions, but it has fallen from our cultural memory. There is great potential for you to do well, but not if your question is "what is the cheapest way to make iced coffee?". There are many places you can buy bulk purchases of commercially packaged coffee. You would get these through restaurant, janitorial, or industrial supply houses. Almost every large city will have several. In all likelihood, your iced coffee will not be very good from these.
Pennsylvania is fortunate to have many small coffee roasters who are making wonderful fresh product at reasonable prices. If you find one you like, or perhaps one that is nearby, you could probably work out a discount, or trade agreement, by advertising their product on your cart in exchange for freshly roasted, freshly ground beans. Freshly roasted beans will easily make coffee that is worlds above dried up commercial grounds from a little blue mylar pouch.
The process of iced coffee could entail brewing large urns of strong coffee and then cooling them to serve, but there is a cold water extraction process that extracts the wonderful coffee elements and leaves behind all of the acids that would normally be released when coffee is hot brewed.
I would suggest getting several of these devices to make your coffee stock. One advantage of this, beside incredible taste, is that the coffee stores well, without becoming bitter over time. Filtron was a company that made wonderful deco styled cold water coffee extractors in the 1950s. You can find these on ebay now and then. If you don't care what they look like, Filtron is still around and making clunky looking modern ones (that work just as well):

Your marketing will also determine your success. The product of coffee, in recent years, has been built around the expectation that people are willing to pay a premium price for a premium product. If you adhere to that, and try to deliver on it, you will do well. Anyone can buy a cheap commodity like ice tea from a million places. If you do not cheap out on the coffee by pushing it as a commodity, but rather as a luxury treat, you will do well.
Good luck, I would buy a frozen coffee if given the chance.
Edit: Here's a link to a good article on whether to go hot brew or cold brew (but you want cold brew because you wish to store large quantities of the coffee).
