Sunday Special Coffee Cake
1/2 c Plus 3/4 c sugar
1/4 c Plus 1 1/2 c flour
1/4 c Plus 1/3 c butter, melted
1 ts Cinnamon
2 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 ea Egg white
1/2 c Skim Milk
1 ts Vanilla
Combine 1/2 c sugar, 1/4 c flour, 1/4 c butter, and cinnamon.
Mix lightly with a fork until crumbly. Set aside for topping.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees; grease 8" square pan.
Sift 1 1/2 c flour, baking powder and salt.
In a medium bowl, beat egg white with a rotary beater until frothy.
Beat in 3/4 sugar and 1/3 c melted butter until well combined.
Add milk and vanilla.
With a wooden spoon, beat in flour mixture until well combined;
pour into pan.
Sprinkle topping evenly over batter.
Bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes
out clean.
Cool partially in pan or on a wire rack. Cut into squares while
still warm.

i tryed this coffe cake a while back an it was amazing it had this filling that was like creamy and i cant remember where it was bought from so im trying to make my own does any one no good recipes for coffee cake????
Ingredients :
6 oz/170g Self-Raising flour
½ Teaspoon/2.5ml Baking powder
½ Teaspoon/2.5ml salt
5oz/142g Caster sugar
4oz/113g Soft margarine or butter
2 Eggs, size 2 or 3
1 tablespoon/15ml Instant coffee powder (or granules dissolved in milk)
3 tablespoons/45ml milk
2 oz./56g Crushed walnuts
Recipe :
1.Crush the walnuts if not already done.
2.Place all ingredients in large mixing bowl and beat thoroughly until you have a smooth mixture.
3.Spread evenly into a lined 2lb(800g)loaf tin.
4.Bake for 30 minutes at 375°F (190°C) or gas mark 7, combination 190 and warm for 25 minutes.
5.If using coffee granules, mix with a little milk to dissolve, then add to mixture as normal.
6.Increase the quantities by 50% if using an 8 inch cake tin.
Advice :
Use Mocha frosting.
