Can anyone post a link on how to serve coffee at a formal setting (like when is the proper time to serve it, where should the cups be placed, what else can be found on the coffee tray, etc..) Thanks!
Just before dessert is served start to percolate the coffee. Have the tray set with demi tasse cups on saucers with coffee spoons parallel to the handle, a sugar bowl with coffee sugar crystals (and teaspoon) or cubes (and sugar tongs). Add a creamer/s with milk and or cream. Have a larger creamer ready for hot water
As you serve dessert inquire of your guests who would care for coffee. There is no need too ask how they prefer it as they may add water, milk or sugar when the coffee is placed in front of them.
You may add a small plate of mints
