How important is CM?
I have a change in CM in my cycle when I ovulate, but not that much. What I notice is that it is more "gooey" up by my cervix - but nothing comes out of me. Is that okay? I always hear of this ABUNDANT CM and I never get it.

In order to get pregnant you need fertile cervical fluid/mucus. The more good quality cervical mucus you produce the more fertile you are. The sperm needs fertile cervical mucus in order to swim to the egg. Cervical mucus is described as "hostile" when it is too thick to allow sperm to penetrate the cervix, thereby preventing conception.
I also don't experience a lot of egg white cervical mucus. Every once in a while I do get a cycle that has it but for the most part I get creamy. Due to my lack of good quality cervical mucus, I have used preseed. I have gotten pregnant twice using it. I am currently trying again and using it.
