Do you have a lot of turkey stuff in your house right now?
We don't go overboard on decorating for Thanksgiving, but the girl made a bunch of turkey-type crafts at school, and then we made a bunch more at home...and now that most of them are in bed, my coffee table is currently scattered with turkey hats, masks, pictures, etc...and my four year old is running around making some weird 'turkey' noise. Turkeys are the 'it' thing right now in this casa.
BQ - Did your kids eat more than normal on Thanksgiving? Mine always eat a lot, but I think they ate even more than usual since everything was all sprawled out on the table all day.
My little sister brought home all her thanksgiving projects from school (the hand turkeys, and pilgrim plates, etc.) so those are floating around everywhere. We have to clean them up tomorrow and set up all of the Christmas lights.
BQ: We always make extras at our house just in case; it doesn't matter how much we eat, there's always more!
what colors work with sage green carpet?
hi we are buying a new house....it was built in 2005 so it is very new. The walls and trim are white with pewter/silver cabinet pulls and a slate gray fire place mantle. The cabinets are are a medium oak color. The carpet throughout is a light sage green color. What colors compliment the white and sage green? Right now i sort of decorate in country....like navy burgandy and forrest green (this is what my couches are) These in my opinion would look awful in this newer looking home with all the clean lines. I also own quite a bit of items with wrought iron which i think would look nice. BUT i need a sort of color palate that would compliment this carpet color with all the white on the walls. Like a tan couch? White or wood coffee table? HELP! need opinions!
I have sage green in my house, couches are a dark forest green with tan and rusty brown pillows. Bedroom has blues and lavender along with the white. Yellow also goes well.
