Is it okay to drink black coffee just before or after a drug that is supposed to be taken on an empty stomach?
I am taking a medication three times a day that is supposed to be taken one hour before and two hours after eating. It's hard enough to arrange that, but even harder because I need my black coffee first thing in the morning. Does black coffee count as "eating?"

Start with drinking very small amounts. Once your body gets used to it you will be fine, especially if you use water to replace an unhealthy liquid intake (tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, etc.)
