i can mostly tell how to judge a laptop except for graphics cards. I googled and everything and people said its fine in reviews but i just want to be sure. low settings is what i'm used to so that'd be fine

The ATI Radeon HD 4200 is an onboard shared memory chipset. It will not run Sims 3 very well, if at all. You need a laptop with a dedicated video card with its own VRAM, not a weak onboard chipset.
According to NotebookCheck, that cipset will barely run old games like Doom 3.

Why are some HDMI cables to expensive?
I'm looking to buy an HDMI cable to hook my Xbox 360 up to my new 32" LG HDTV (720p). I found this one at Walmart for only $4.

Why are some cables priced between $20 and $60 (or $2000 :p ) whereas others are so cheap?
I don't want to spend a lot of money but I want good picture and audio. Please let me know if there are any significant differences that I should worry about.

It comes down mostly to two things: the cost of the materials in the cables and the cost of the labor to make the cables (this is true of most things.) Some HDMI cables use gold or platinum, which is ridiculously expensive right now because inflation (and interest rates) are so low. It's a good bet there isn't much of either of these metals in the Wal*mart cable. So long as the cable meets the requirements of your device, then who cares if it's made of platinum or copper? For your XBox, the cheap cables are probably good enough. If you use them and your picture is too choppy or your audio keeps dropping out, then you may want to spend the extra money for the better cables. I doubt you'd notice much of a difference, though.
