A blonde was recently hired at an office. Her first task was to go out for coffee.

Eager to do well her first day on the job, she grabbed a large thermos and hurried to a nearby coffee shop.

She held up the thermos and the coffee shop worker quickly came over to take her order.

"Is this big enough to hold six cups of coffee?" the blonde asked.

The coffee shop worker looked at the thermos, hesitated a few seconds, then finally replied, "Yeah. It looks like about six cups to me."

"Oh good!" the blonde sighed in relief. "I'll have two regular, two black, and two decaf."

My question is that could saline solution be used for disinfecting soft contact lenses in this way.....

Put the lenses case ( with the lenses in it and filled 75% with saline solution in both(right and left sides) ) in a thermos (about the size of a medium/large coffee cup). Pour some boiling water in the thermos over the lenses case. Put the thermos lid on and leave them to cool down. (?about 2-3 hours?)

Detailed answer would really be appreciated. If this is not an effective way than please do suggest an effective way of disinfecting lenses using saline solution.
As ti why I would want to put them in boiling water (in the case of course lol) ive heard that saline solution could be used for heat disinfecting soft lenses(it say on the box. However, it mentions that i need a heating unit for which i substituted the boiling water..
