Will a coffee shop willingly fill a regularly sized travel mug for you?
I received a nice 16oz Thermos mug as a gift for Christmas. If I stop by a coffee shop, would it be that unusual of a request to have the barista fill the mug up instead of giving me a paper cup?
I know I will have to pay for the coffee, but I don't want to be an obnoxious customers. Thank you.
They should. My local one refills my iced tea sports bottle and even knocks off 10 cents since I don't use a cup.

My mom had a really good coffee mug she would take to work and it would last her hours. Her last one just broke and she threw it away before checking the name of it, she's bought a few different ones but that don't last over 2 hours. She works a 12 hour night shift as a nurse so if you could help that would be great. She would prefer a mug over a thermos
Get the "travel mug" type for her. Most any kind will last a long time as long as it's all made from stainless steel except the lid. Stain lees keeps the heat longer. You can find them is some stores or supermarkets and even starbucks.
