coffee yeast infections Frequently Asked Questions

Vulvodynia, what do you do about it?

It wakes me up at 4am, can't sleep, spent half my salary on doctors, ob gyns, transport, 2 days off work, kind of embarrased to see the doctor again, and will have to be referred to an ob gyn, so today I googled vuvlar pain, can't sleep and up popped "vulvodynia", so bought some calcium-Citrate, and calendula creme. After drinking coffee , did it burn!!!
Had skin prick sensations, burning, can't exercise etc.
I've been on antibiotics for a month, and have had recurring yeast infections, and go to the ob-gyn with vaginal pain but they can't see anything wrong. Very sensitive skin, so use baby soap, etc.
Have you ever had this condition? what did you do?

Ive never had this, but I am prone to yeast infections and i used to get them alot when i took antibiotics, which i take for acne, so i take 2 acidophilus pills a night and it totally works! its the same stuff thats in yogurt, so you should eat lots of yogurt too. As for coffee, it is really strong so maybe lay off it for a while and see if your body is trying to tell you you dont like coffee.

Candida issues -- can anyone help?

I recently went to the dr for my irritable bowel/colitis issues that I have been having. She told me to take a high dosage pro biotic for a month to see if it would help. I also have a problem with reoccuring yeast infections. In addition -- I have a slight infection in the corners of my mouth. This is crazy. I took diflucan (anti-fungal) a few weeks ago, now about 3 weeks of expensive high dosage probiotics..drinking kefir daily.....is there something I am missing?

I gave up all synthetic drugs -- quit birth control pills 2 months ago. I eat pretty healthy. I take supplements. No processed foods, no junk food - (rarely.) The only thing I can blame is coffee...? And the occasional drink or two. But if I have to give that up it will stink because as it is --- I try to be as healthy as possible.

Anyone have any advice. I am about to go buy lotrimin to put on my mouth.....

I'm sure you are probably aware that you should avoid sugar, fruit juices, alcohol, caffeine, white flour and "uncultured" dairy products as much as possible.

Natural supplements that are helpful include:

Garlic Complex - destroys overgrowth of yeast
Optiflora - replaces "friendly" bacteria
B Complex - increases absorption (Candida prevents absorption of nutrients)
NutriFeron - strengthens the immune system

Hope this is helpful and feel to contact me with questions.
