it seems i might have contaminated it & other dishes in it.,wheh i put glass coffee decanterin. i had used coffee decanter to mix & pour anti freeze in my vehicle.iran the dishwasher 1x w detergent & 2x without . i have not unloaded it yet.
Surely the normal dish-washer cycle should decontaminate it.
You could, however, put a touch of bleach in, next time you do a cycle.

They're all great ideas, BUT..
I would go with candles or cookbooks with a nice bottle of wine and a gift card to Amazon or some other home store. If you were planning to add all these things, I think that might be a little over-the-top. All of these things add up to a hefty pricetag, and people tend to enjoy picking out their own things, you know?
Even if it is your best friend, I would still pick ONE item that reflects the giver (who you are & what she means to you), and then give a wine & giftcard, so she and her husband can pick out their own stuff.
I would also avoid anything that would require permanent placement- Don't assume that she or her husband want to display a coffee table book or welcome sign (although I'm sure you picked out nice ones). Better a candle, which doesn't last forever, or a cookbook/decanter/glasses that she can put away on a shelf. This isn't meant to be rude, its just a touchy subject since decor is really someone's personal choice.
