everything at my local corner-shop/grocery store is 30-45p more expensive ?

while I understand my local shopkeeper Mr.Mohammed Bin Sheikh Abdullah (shortened cut down version of his name, probably not the one he uses on passports ) can't compete with the supermarket giants, he surely can't be fucking serious being 30p more expensive than other grocery shops ?
also sometimes i walk into the shop and say 'morning Mr Mohammad' , and hes sitting there holding prayer beads - eyes shut and hes in a 'trance like' state. There is islamic prayer calls being played on a loud speaker , and i have to simply - stand there and wait while he finishes praying.
whats teh point of praying and believing in god if you're a greedy s.o.b who over-prices tea, bread, coffee, milk...

That's the same as all local or corner shops. You should always expect to pay quite a bit more as they can't compete with the big supermarket prices and stay in business. We shop at Asda ( 3 miles away) but if I'm in the middle of baking, for instance, and I discover that I have run out of a vital ingredient, I will use the local shop - 10 minutes' walk away. I know it will cost more, but it's more convenient than getting on a bus & going to Asda for just the odd item.
