How do I get Mobile Internet Access?
I live in Maine and will be traveling from Maine to New York (over n over) thru out the winter. Basically will be living in my van if I am able to find an internet solution 
What can I use for internet access while on the road? I have a 2003 Dell desktop that will be in my van, is that going to work or do I need something newer?
And how the heck does a 'blackberry' get online?

oh yeah - should add that at times I will be in remote areas, with no coffee shops and all. But understand that if I am in a city type of space I may find access thru businesses, schools and the like?

Most Cars and Vans made after 2001 have a port for 120V power.
Here is what you will need:
A New Laptop with good Mobile Processor: You can get one cheap from Dell Outlet: Cost $850 - $1200

Buy a car power adapter which will give you a socket that looks like a power outlet you can get one from Walmart, Myers, or Home Depot or any Camping Gear Store. This will power your laptop while the enigne is running, do not power laptop while engine is not runing you will drain the van battery,
Third: $150 tp $250 plus monthly access fee of about $29.00
Get an AT&T Wireless Internet Access Card this works anywhere: seriously.
